  12. HOOKING UP YOUR ROLLER CONTROLLER
  13.  
  14. 1. Unplug and remove the Hand Controllers from the ColecoVision Console
  15.    unit.
  16.  
  17. 2. Plug a Hand Controller into the socket inside a Hand Controller Well of the
  18.    Roller Controller
  19.  
  20. 3. Wind the Hand Controller Cord neatly inside the Well, then slide the bottom 
  21.    of the Hand Controller into the Well. When Hand Controller is in place, push
  22.    the top of the Hand Controller down until it snaps into place. Attach the 
  23.    other Hand Controller to the Roller Controller in the same manner The Hand
  24.    Controller jacks will fit only one way--DO NOT FORCE them into the 
  25.    controller sockets.

  27. 4. The WYE Connector Cable jacks have the number 1 molded on top of one jack
  28.    and the number 2 molded on top of the other jack. Plug jack # 1 into the 
  29.    rear socket, then plug jack #2 into the front socket inside the Hand 
  30.    Controller storage compartments of your ColecoVision Console unit as shown 
  31.    in illustration. Be sure the numbers are facing up when you are plugging in 
  32.    the jacks.

  34. 5. Plug the Power Adapter Plug from the Roller Controller unit into the Power
  35.    Supply socket in back of your ColecoVision Console unit.
  36.  
  37. 6. Plug the jack of the AC Power Supply unit into the back of the Power Adapter
  38.    Plug as shown in illustration. Plug the AC Power Supply unit into a 110/120 
  39.    volt household electrical outlet. Make sure the Power Supply is fully 
  40.    inserted into the electrical outlet.

  42. 7. MODE SWITCH: The function of the MODE SWITCH is to select between a Joystick
  43.    cartridge and a cartridge designed exclusively for use with the Roller
  44.    Controller. Slide the MODE SWITCH to the ROLLER Cartridge position when
  45.    playing roller-game cartridges. The JOYSTICK Cartridge position can be used
  46.    with most games that require use of the hand controller Joystick. Some 
  47.    Joystick cartridge games will be more challenging than others when played 
  48.    with Roller Controller Get the "feel" of the game before you decide to use 
  49.    Roller Controller to play a Joystick cartridge game.
  50.  
  51.    Now you are ready to begin playing your game! BE SURE THAT THE COLECOVISION
  52.    UNIT IS OFF BEFORE INSERTING OR REMOVING CARTRIDGE. Refer to your GAME 
  53.    CARTRIDGE Instruction Guide for game play instructions.

  55. WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER SUPPLY FROM THE 110/120 VOLT OUTLET WHEN YOU 
  56. HAVE FINISHED PLAYING.

  59. CARE OF YOUR GAME

  61. Treat your COLECOVISION ROLLER CONTROLLER with care.
  62.  
  63. Before inserting or removing GAME CARTRIDGE, always make sure that the POWER 
  64. SWITCH on CONSOLE unit is turned "OFF".
  65.  
  66. Always unplug the POWER SUPPLY from the 110/120 volt outlet when you have 
  67. finished playing. IMPORTANT: ONLY CONNECT THE CONSOLE POWER SUPPLY UNIT INTO 
  68. A 110/120 VOLT HOUSEHOLD ELECTRICAL SERVICE, OTHERWISE SERIOUS DAMAGE MAY OCCUR
  69. TO ELECTRICAL PARTS OF THE SYSTEM.

  71. Do not drop or bang ROLLER CONTROLLER, CONSOLE or HAND CONTROLLERS.
  72.  
  73. Do not use sharp or pointed object to activate KEYPAD BUTTONS or GAME ACTION 
  74. BUTTONS.
  75.  
  76. Do not store or leave ROLLER CONTROLLER, CONSOLE and accessories where they may 
  77. be subject to heat build-up.
  78.  
  79. Keep away from moisture. Do not immerse ROLLER CONTROLLER, CONSOLE or HAND 
  80. CONTROLLERS in water Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe clean.

  82. WARNING: Before cleaning ROLLER CONTROLLER, CONSOLE and accessories, turn POWER 
  83. SWITCH to "OFF" and disconnect the AC POWER SUPPLY unit from the 110/120 volt 
  84. wall outlet.

  86. Do not attempt to repair ROLLER CONTROLLER. It does not contain any owner
  87. serviceable parts. Refer to your TROUBLESHOOTING section, if not successful 
  88. refer to LIMITED WARRANTY

  90. NOTICE

  92. This game generates and uses radio frequency energy and if not installed and
  93. used properly, that is in strict accordance with the instructions, may cause 
  94. interference to radio and television reception. It has been type tested and 
  95. found to comply with the limits for a Class B computing device in accordance 
  96. with the specifications in Subpart J of Part 15 of FCC Rules, which are 
  97. designed to provide reasonable protection against such interference in a 
  98. residential installation. However, there is no guarantee that interference 
  99. will not occur in a particular installation. If this game does cause 
  100. interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by 
  101. turning the game off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the 
  102. interference by one or more of the following measures:

  104. Reorient the TV antenna.
  105.  
  106. Relocate the game with respect to the TV
  107.  
  108. Move the game away from the TV
  109.  
  110. PIug the game into a different outlet so that game and TV are on different
  111. branch circuits.

  113. If necessary, the user should consult the dealer or an experienced radio/
  114. television technician for additional suggestions. The user may find the

  130. No Hand Controller Response     Make sure that the switch on the
  131.                                 Roller Controller console is in the
  132.                                 "Joystick Cartridge" mode.

  134. Roller Response Backwards       Make sure that the controller plugs
  135.                                 are inserted into the correct ports on
  136.                                 the ColecoVision Main Console.
